Not only do you get an email account that looks more professional, yourname@yourdomainname.com, Gmail is also packed with a bunch of pleasant surprises.
1. Manage multiple accounts with Gmail
In this time and age, it’s not uncommon that we have more than 1 email account, with all the choices we have whether it is hotmail, yahoo mail, or even a private mail, by the time you realize it, you would have 4 different email accounts to manage!
With Gmail you are able to get all your mail from all your different accounts into ONE convenient place, and this is how you do it.

- Getting my hotmail emails on my Gmail account

- Press Settings > Accounts, to manage your account configurations

- 4 simple steps and you are done
2. Changing your sender name
Since we are in the account configuration page, you might also want to configure your sender name for each of your different email accounts, this is especially important if you trying to manage multiple identities.

- Remember to set your “when receiving a message” options, reply from the same address the message was sent to. Avoid confusing your recipients when you reply from another identity~

- Edit info: change your sender name, the right name for the right email account
3. Spice up your inbox, with Gmail Theme
Another cool feature that Gmail has is that you are able to change how your email inbox look like, if you are getting bored with the same Gmail design, spice things up and change the theme.

- Press Settings > Themes, to choose your themes

- Graffiti theme

- Mountains theme
4. Add some personal touch, add a picture to your profile

- Good to have a face on your profile so ppl can remember you/your logo
5. Auto responder, handy when you are going away for a vacation
Gmail auto responder lets you set an automated reply to each and every email once it is on, this will no doubt be useful when you are going away for a long vacation or if you are going to be unable to access the net for a long period of time.

- Under Settings>General, set your auto responder message
6. Check your account activity, keep your email private
Your email may contain sensitive information that you would like to keep private, check your most recent account activity to ensure that no one else has excess to your Gmail account but yourself.

- Located at the footer of your inbox, with tiny fonts, it is tricky to spot

- if the last login IP seems foreign to you, maybe someone else has excess to your gmail account!
7. Change the Gmail Logo
To change the default Gmail logo to the logo of your choice, you would need to logon into Gmail through your admin account. You would then see a new button next to the “settings” called “manage your domain”.
